Concrete MasonSlab Mason

Overview

Sea State Land Services is looking to hire 6 skilled slab masons who are familiar with residential construction in the Tampa/Sarasota area. A qualified candidate would need to have at least 2 years of experience in residential concrete masonry and have reliable transportation to work. Below is a comprehensive list of skills and responsibilities that this position will require.

• Set forms and prepare sites for slab pours on residential and commercial projects
• Place, level, and finish concrete for slabs, sidewalks, driveways, and foundations
• Operate hand and power tools (trowels, screeds, floats, etc.) safely and efficiently
• Read and interpret blueprints and site plans to ensure accurate layout and dimensions
• Monitor curing process and perform finishing work (edging, jointing, sealing)
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and adhere to company safety standards
• Collaborate with crew members and assist with related site tasks as needed

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a slab mason or concrete finisher
• Proven ability to set forms, pour, and finish concrete slabs to a high standard
• Experience with both residential and commercial slab work preferred
• Ability to read construction plans and use masonry/concrete tools
• Reliable transportation to job sites (required)
• Physically able to lift 50+ lbs, work outdoors, and stand for long periods
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to quality
