Overview
We are hiring experienced traveling TIG Pipe Welders for a long-term shipyard project in Port St. Joe, FL. This role is ideal for welders who are confident in 6G TIG welding, flexible with process changes, and looking for steady hours, daily per diem, and fast placement.
Qualified candidates can be tested, cleared, and ready to start within 1–2 days.
Job Highlights- Up to 56 hours per week
- $150 per diem per day worked
- Long-term shipyard project
- Consistent work with overtime
- 6G TIG test
- TIG “all the way” — root and cap
Welders must be prepared for modifications, which may include:
- Flux on the cap
- Stick & TIG processes
- Must also pass a carbon steel weld test
- Proven experience as a TIG Pipe Welder
- Strong ability to pass 6G pipe weld tests
- Minimum of 4 years of shipyard experience
- Ability to adapt to different welding procedures
- Strong safety awareness and reliable attendance
- Company-paid Minimum Essential Coverage (MEC) plan (employee only)
- $100 travel reimbursement added to first paycheck
