HVAC Install Assistant

Custom Air and Plumbing is hiring an HVAC Install Assistant to support residential and light commercial installation projects in the Sarasota, Florida area. This role is ideal for someone who is dependable, eager to learn the trade, and takes pride in quality work.
If you’re looking to build a long-term career in HVAC and want hands‑on training with experienced installers, this is a great opportunity to get started.
What You’ll Do- Assist with residential and light commercial HVAC installations
- Support lead installers with equipment setup, material handling, and jobsite prep
- Help install furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductwork, and related components
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site
- Load and unload tools, equipment, and materials
- Follow safety procedures and company installation standards
- Represent Custom with professionalism and a positive attitude
- Interest in learning the HVAC trade (prior experience a plus, not required)
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in attics, crawlspaces, rooftops, and outdoor conditions
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Strong work ethic, dependability, and team‑first mindset
- Ability to follow instructions and work well with others
