Location: Tyndall Air Force Base
Duties The primary purpose of this position is: to remove, install, modify, overhaul, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, align, calibrate, and rebuild multi-system avionics complexes consisting of multiple completely integrated electronic avionics systems where the complex accomplishes a number of major functions. DUTY 1:
Removes, installs, modifies, overhauls, maintains, troubleshoots, repairs, aligns, calibrates, and rebuilds multi-system avionics complexes consisting of multiple completely integrated electronic avionics systems where the complex accomplishes a number of major functions. DUTY 2:
Performs pretest, operational (functional), or final testing of electronic systems, components, or subassemblies. DUTY 3:
Advises engineering personnel on the operation and maintenance effects of proposed Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTO) and/or modifications on new or existing equipment. DUTY 4:
Utilizes safety practices and tool control procedures following established safety rules and regulations to maintain a safe and clean work area. DUTY 5:
Prepares/executes effective training plans to maximize training. Requirements Conditions of employment

* This is a testing designated position (TDP). The employee is subject to random drug testing
* Employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, to include evenings, weekends and/or holidays

* Must be a current member of the AF Reserve or willing/qualified to join

* AFSC: 2A3X5 Qualifications In order to qualify, you must meet the quality level of experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards Handbook X-118C for WG-2600 Electronic Equipment Installation And Maintenance Family.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants will be rated in accordance with the OPM Qualification Standard Handbook X-118C for the WG-2600 Electronic Equipment Installation And Maintenance Family. Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most blue-collar positions, you must meet any screen-out element listed, and show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying.
Qualification requirements emphasis is on the quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. The screen out element for this position is the ability to perform the work of an ELECTRONIC INTEGRATED SYSTEMS MECHANIC with little to no supervision. JOB ELEMENTS:
