Security Technician

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Security Technician to support the installation, service, and maintenance of electronic security systems in commercial, residential, and industrial environments. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands‑on technician who can work independently, deliver high‑quality installations, and provide strong customer‑facing support.

• Install, service, and troubleshoot:
  • Access control systems (card readers, door hardware, panels)
  • CCTV/video surveillance systems (IP and analog cameras)
  • Intrusion and alarm systems
• Run, terminate, and test low‑voltage cabling (Cat5/6, coax, etc.)
• Install and mount devices including cameras, readers, motion sensors, and control panels
• Program and configure security systems as needed
• Perform system testing, commissioning, and final customer handoff
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and installation drawings
• Maintain accurate service documentation and job reports
• Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively on job sites
• Coordinate with project managers, teams, and other trades to ensure successful project completion

• 2-5+ years of experience installing and servicing security systems
• Hands‑on experience with:
  • Access control
  • CCTV/video surveillance
  • Alarm/intrusion systems
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Ability to work independently in the field
• Strong communication and customer service skills

• Experience with systems such as Qolsys, DMP, Fire‑Lite, Silent Knight
• Basic to intermediate networking knowledge (IP addressing, connectivity)
• Project coordination or jobsite coordination experience

• Field‑based role working on active job sites
• May include commercial buildings, residential properties, and industrial facilities
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders or elevated platforms as needed

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of O'Brien, FL.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00 per hour.
