Overview
We are seeking a skilled Security Technician to support the installation, service, and maintenance of electronic security systems in commercial, residential, and industrial environments. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands‑on technician who can work independently, deliver high‑quality installations, and provide strong customer‑facing support.
Responsibilities- Install, service, and troubleshoot:
- Access control systems (card readers, door hardware, panels)
- CCTV/video surveillance systems (IP and analog cameras)
- Intrusion and alarm systems
- Run, terminate, and test low‑voltage cabling (Cat5/6, coax, etc.)
- Install and mount devices including cameras, readers, motion sensors, and control panels
- Program and configure security systems as needed
- Perform system testing, commissioning, and final customer handoff
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and installation drawings
- Maintain accurate service documentation and job reports
- Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively on job sites
- Coordinate with project managers, teams, and other trades to ensure successful project completion
- 2-5+ years of experience installing and servicing security systems
- Hands‑on experience with:
- Access control
- CCTV/video surveillance
- Alarm/intrusion systems
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work independently in the field
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Experience with systems such as Qolsys, DMP, Fire‑Lite, Silent Knight
- Basic to intermediate networking knowledge (IP addressing, connectivity)
- Project coordination or jobsite coordination experience
- Field‑based role working on active job sites
- May include commercial buildings, residential properties, and industrial facilities
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders or elevated platforms as needed

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of O'Brien, FL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00 per hour.
