Overview
We are a National Commercial Roof Consulting Company and one of the leading consulting firms in the industry. We provide trusted roofing expertise and guidance to some of the largest industrial real estate owners in the world. The company is seeking a highly skilled and motivated field inspector to join the Florida-based team. Responsibilities- Serve as a field inspector and contribute trusted roofing expertise and guidance to large industrial real estate owners.
- Read and comprehend detailed commercial roofing plans, specifications and details.
- Compile detailed field inspection findings and articulate them in written form using appropriate industry terminology.
- Operate with a deep understanding of construction processes and methodologies.
- Be proficient with Microsoft Office, mobile-based software applications, and proprietary roof management software.
- Travel 4–5 days per week, potentially to multiple cities.
- Manage time effectively to maintain operational efficiencies with minimal supervision.
- Evaluate industrial roof systems, identify preventative maintenance items, and generate specific scopes of work to rectify issues.
- Provide corresponding budget pricing for all scope items and assess the remaining useful life of roof systems.
- Minimum of five (5) years of commercial roofing experience, preferably with a background as a QA inspector or superintendent.
- Comprehensive understanding of multiple roof systems used in commercial applications (Single Ply, BUR, Modified, and Metal).
- Ability to read and comprehend detailed roofing plans, specifications, and details.
- Ability to compile field inspection findings and communicate them clearly in written form.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, mobile software, and proprietary roof management software.
- RRO/RRC professional certifications and level I, II, or III thermography certifications are highly recommended but not required.
