ShiftDay (6am-2:30pm) Position requires that you must stay until job is finished – rarely leave at 2:30pm
Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and experienced Structural Ironworker to join our team in the light industrial sector. This role is focused on constructing, assembling, and repairing iron structures. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in structural ironwork, a solid background in construction, and a commitment to safety, especially in high-risk environments.
Key Responsibilities- Read and interpret blueprints, structural drawings, and plan layouts to determine work procedures.
- Install and repair iron structures such as beams, girders, columns, and other building components.
- Assemble structures by welding, fabricating, bolting, or riveting.
- Operate equipment like cranes, forklifts, and other heavy machinery to move structural steel, reinforcing bars, and other materials to work sites.
- Ensure alignment, position, and secure steel bars or mesh in concrete forms to reinforce structures.
- Inspect structures and materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including wearing protective equipment and following established safety procedures.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow and safety.
- Must be willing to travel to Georgia sites as needed.
- Proven experience as a Structural Ironworker, with extensive knowledge in ironwork and construction.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and structural drawings.
- Strong skills in welding, fabrication, bolting, and riveting.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures in high-risk environments.
- Excellent physical condition and coordination.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or training in ironwork or a related field is preferred.
- Frequent lifting, climbing, standing, and working at heights is required.
- Work may be performed in various environments, including outdoors and in all weather conditions.
- Use of safety equipment and adherence to strict safety guidelines is mandatory.
