Duties The primary purpose of this position is:
To serve as an Air Reserve Technician (ART) involved in the removing, installing, troubleshooting, interrogating, overhauling, adjusting, testing, modifying, calibrating, and repairing of complex integrated aircraft pneudraulic systems and equipment on board conventional/nuclear certified aircraft supported by the organization and to provide training to and evaluation of all assigned personnel, e.g., Active Duty, Reservist, Civilians, Contractors and foreign military as required in the accomplishment of duties set forth herein.
Duties:
* Conducts scheduled/unscheduled maintenance and periodic inspections on all pneudraulically operated systems on/off aircraft in accordance with established procedures.
* Performs troubleshooting of complex integrated pneudraulic systems of related on/off equipment for assigned and/or transient aircraft to include support equipment.
* Performs off-equipment maintenance and bench checks to support the repair cycle. Utilizes safety practices and tool control procedures to maintain a safe and clean work area.
* Prepares/executes effective training plans to maximize training for all assigned personnel, e.g., Active Duty, Reservist, Civilians, Contractors and foreign military.
* Reviews, verifies and documents aircraft forms, component forms/tags and Maintenance Information Systems (MIS) to reflect maintenance actions performed on and off equipment. Requirements Conditions of employment

QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants will be rated in accordance with the OPM Qualification Standard Handbook X-118C for the WG-8200 Fluid Systems Maintenance Family.. Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most blue-collar positions, you must meet any screen-out element listed, and show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying.
Qualification requirements emphasis is on the quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. The screen out element for this position is the ability to do the work Aircraft Pneudraulic System Mechanic with little to no supervision. JOB ELEMENTS:
Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
* Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
* Skill and knowledge in the use of standard hand and power tools/equipment, materials accounting and security.
* Ability to read and interpret a variety of technical data, and Knowledge of USAF Technical Order Program and its procedures. Ability to remove and install aircraft pneudraulic systems, equipment or accessories.
* Knowledge of operation, capabilities and limitations of aircraft pneudraulic systems.
* Ability to use a variety of test and measurement equipment, ability to test complete pneudraulic systems.
