Automotive Diesel Technician Trainee/Apprentice
Sunset Chevrolet, a proud member of the Sunset Automotive Group family of dealerships with 10 brands at 11 locations in Sarasota and Manatee counties. This role welcomes candidates with previous diesel repair or training experience, or some diesel knowledge. All diesel repair backgrounds are considered.

Great starting pay – based on experience. Work Monday through Friday and every third Saturday. No late nights. Closed Sundays. Apply in person or online.
Diesel Technician Apprentice DutiesThis technician position requires basic skills and diesel knowledge. Company‑paid and on‑the‑job training will be provided. Applicants with any previous diesel service experience or training are encouraged to apply.
- Perform routine diesel maintenance and repair
- Perform vehicle inspection and note vehicle maintenance and repair concerns
- Complete required manufacturer training to become certified GM diesel technician
- Must be able to work Monday – Saturday (up to six days a week)
- Automotive schooling and/or ASE certifications preferred, but not required
- Diesel knowledge and desire to grow in the diesel repair field
