Position OverviewThe Mobile Service Technician, Team Lead is responsible for overseeing and executing field-based service and warranty work on Yellowfin boats. This hands‑on role combines technical expertise with leadership, customer communication, and logistical coordination. The ideal candidate is highly skilled across all trades, dependable, and passionate about delivering best‑in‑class customer experiences.
Primary Responsibilities- Perform on‑site diagnostics, repair, and service support for vessels and marine systems.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot marine electronics and electrical systems.
- Diagnose and repair GPS, sonar, radar, networking systems, audio systems, MFDs, and factory wiring.
- Commission and test marine electronic systems to ensure proper functionality and performance.
- Provide professional customer and dealer support during service visits.
- Document repairs, service findings, and completed work accurately.
- Assist on the production line between field service calls as needed.
- Support vessel rigging, electrical installation, and quality control processes.
- Assist with prototyping, testing, and overall production operations.
- Work collaboratively with production, rigging, and service departments to maintain workflow efficiency.
- Adapt to changing priorities and operational needs in a fast‑paced environment.
- Experience as a marine technician with specialization in marine electronics and electrical systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities.
- Knowledge of marine networking systems, audio systems, radar, sonar, GPS, and MFD systems.
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical documentation.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently in the field and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Mechanical aptitude and commitment to high‑quality workmanship.
- Mercury and Yamaha familiarity and respective supporting tools (G3 and YDS).
- ABYC Certifications are preferred, but not required.
