- A High School Diploma or equivalent
- One (1) year of full‑time‑equivalent experience in maintenance and repair of locks and door hardware or related work
- Requires climbing ladders, lifting, balancing, walking, and stooping
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
- Coordinate and participate in repairing locks using hand tools and other equipment
- Coordinate the ordering, purchasing, and installation of locking mechanisms and door hardware
- Cut duplicate keys and maintain a log of keys issued or returned
- Knowledge of procedures and methods for cutting keys
- Knowledge of procedures and methods for installing, disassembling, and repairing locks
- Skills in installing, disassembling, and repairing locks
- Skills in operating a key‑cutting machine
- Skills in using a lock pick to open locks
- Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate work assignments
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
- Ability to follow instructions
- Ability to re‑key existing locks
