Aramark is hiring an HVAC Maintenance Technician in Chattahoochee, FL to support daily operations at Florida State Hospital. In this role, you will install, maintain, and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems that keep the facility safe, comfortable, and operational. The work is hands-on and includes troubleshooting equipment, completing preventative maintenance, and responding to service calls. You will work in an active healthcare environment where reliability and consistency matter.
This is a strong fit for someone with HVAC, maintenance technician, or building systems experience who can work independently and show up ready to get the job done. You will be part of a facilities team responsible for keeping critical systems running every day. Location Chattahoochee, FL (Florida State Hospital) Compensation and Hours $20–$26 per hour | Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM EST (Rotating on-call for nights, weekends, and holidays) Please note this is a rotational on-call position.
When on-call the candidate must be able to return to the account location within 45 minutes whenever emergency maintenance is warranted.
Job Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, repair, and maintain HVAC systems, air conditioning units, and refrigeration equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance on heating, cooling, and ventilation systems to avoid breakdowns
- Troubleshoot system issues and complete repairs on compressors, motors, controls, and related equipment
- Replace filters, clean ductwork, and maintain air handling systems to ensure proper airflow and performance
- Respond to service calls, including after-hours, weekend, and holiday emergency HVAC issues (rotational on-call)
- Work with electrical, plumbing, and refrigeration systems as part of general maintenance duties
- Maintain tools, parts inventory, and service records for completed work
- Follow safety procedures and wear required PPE in a clinical and institutional environment
- Coordinate with other maintenance staff and trades as needed to complete repairs
Qualifications Required
- 2–5 years of experience working on HVAC systems (commercial or residential)
- Ability to diagnose and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment
- Valid driver's license
- Willingness to work a rotating on-call schedule for emergencies
- Ability to work in a hospital or institutional setting
- Ability to lift, bend, walk, and stand for extended periods
Preferred
- EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification
- Experience working in healthcare, facilities management, or large buildings
- Basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems related to HVAC
