Position SummaryWe are seeking a top‑tier Fire Sprinkler Foreman to lead projects in the Sarasota area and north toward the Greater Tampa area. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands‑on leader who takes pride in delivering high‑quality fire protection systems while managing field crews, schedules, and job‑site safety.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and lead fire sprinkler fitters and helpers on commercial and industrial projects.
- Interpret blueprints, specifications, and project drawings.
- Coordinate manpower, materials, and equipment to ensure efficient project execution.
- Install, modify, and repair various types of fire sprinkler systems.
- Conduct daily job‑site safety meetings and ensure compliance with OSHA standards.
- Communicate with senior managers, general contractors, inspectors, and customers.
- Monitor project schedules and productivity to meet deadlines and budget goals.
- Perform quality control inspections and ensure all work meets NFPA codes and local regulations.
- Assist with project planning, material takeoffs, and documentation.
- Train and mentor field personnel to promote professional development and safety awareness.
- Minimum 5 years of fire sprinkler installation experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or foreman role.
- Strong knowledge of NFPA standards, fire protection systems, and industry best practices.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and hydraulic calculations.
- Experience coordinating crews on active construction sites.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Excellent computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office/Excel.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English (Bilingual English/Spanish a plus).
- NICET certification is a plus.
- Experience with commercial, healthcare, educational, and multifamily construction projects.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
This is primarily a shop or field job. You must be able to lift a dead weight of at least 50 pounds and stand on your feet for several hours at a time. You must also be able to bend, stretch, crouch, and lift as required, respond quickly to sounds, see and respond to dangerous situations, and properly wear personal protective gear.
