Job Summary & ResponsibilitiesAs a Field Service Electrician, you are the face of Sarasota Electrical. You will operate with a high degree of independence, driving to various residential and light commercial properties in and around Sarasota to diagnose, quote, and repair electrical issues.
- Troubleshoot & diagnose complex electrical failures, shorts, and performance issues.
- Efficiently execute smaller installations and upgrades, including panel changeouts, EV chargers, lighting retrofits, and circuit additions.
- Clearly explain issues and solutions to homeowners and business managers with a friendly, professional attitude.
- Maintain the company service van: keep it clean, organized, and properly stocked.
- Use dispatch/service software to accurately document job details, photos, and process customer payments on-site.
- Proven experience as a Residential/Light Commercial Service Electrician, with thorough knowledge of electrical codes and advanced troubleshooting.
- Highly autonomous, able to work independently without supervision.
- Excellent communication skills, neat professional appearance, and customer‑first personality.
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record (required to operate company vehicle).
- Physical ability to navigate attics, crawl spaces, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs comfortably.
