Job Summary
Installs, maintains, and repairs conduit / raceway/ low voltage/ IT infrastructure systems in commercial buildings such as offices, schools, hospitals, and churches. They read blueprints, shop drawings, engineered control drawings, install conduit and raceways, install low voltage wiring, troubleshoot issues, and ensure all work meets electrical codes and safety standards. This role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.

Duties/Responsibilities- Install and Maintain Low Voltage Systems: Perform wiring, conduits, raceways, control panels, and control installations in commercial facilities while ensuring systems operate safely and efficiently.
- Read Shop Drawings, Engineered Controls Drawings, and Blueprints and Troubleshoot Issues: Interpret mechanical, plumbing, and electrical diagrams to complete accurate installations and diagnose problems in existing systems.
- Ensure Code and Safety Compliance: Follow NEC standards, local regulations, and company safety policies using proper PPE and lockout/tagout procedures.
- Collaborate and Communicate Effectively: Work with contractors, supervisors, and other trades to coordinate electrical work on construction and renovation projects.
- Use Tools and Manage Resources: Operate electrical tools, testing equipment, and maintain accurate tracking of materials, tools, and project timelines.
- Technically Skilled: Strong understanding of commercial electrical systems, wiring, NEC codes, and blueprints to ensure accurate, code-compliant installations.
- Detail-Oriented and Safety-Focused: Performs precise, high-quality work while following OSHA standards, PPE use, and lockout/tagout safety procedures.
- Problem Solver: Quickly diagnoses and resolves electrical issues to minimize downtime and maintain project efficiency.
- Reliable and Efficient: Manages time well, meets deadlines, and consistently follows through on responsibilities with minimal supervision.
- Team-Oriented Communicator: Works collaboratively with contractors and crew members, adapts to changing project needs, and maintains clear, professional communication.
During a 10-hour workday, must be able to:
- Lift/carry up to 25 lbs. frequently, 50 lbs. regularly, and 100 lbs. occasionally.
- Stand, kneel, bend, climb, squat, and reach above shoulder for extended periods.
- Use upper extremities for grasping, pushing/pulling, and fine hand manipulations.
- Work outdoors in extreme conditions (heat, cold, etc.) and in tight or confined spaces when required.
- Field-based position with regular travel to job site locations.
- Safely navigate uneven surfaces.
- Work in confined spaces and at varying heights as required by the job.
