Senior Truck Body Shop Technician
Join our Field Maintenance Team. This on‑site role focuses on advanced panel, bumper replacement and heavy wreck repairs for light, medium and heavy‑duty trucks and trailers.
Key Responsibilities- Perform advanced adjustments and repairs: panel and bumper replacement/repair, heavy wreck repairs, suspension adjustments, structural frame repairs, parts removal, caulking and sealing, fiberglass work, plastic repair.
- Perform intermediate adjustments and repairs, including non‑structural steel and aluminum welding, in a shop environment.
- Perform minor adjustments and light repairs on various truck equipment.
- Support Truck Body Shop Tech I/II with advanced/complicated repairs and parts selection.
- Inspect repaired panels for proper body repairs and primer application.
- Work with Service Writer/Estimator/Parts to assess customer needs and resolve problems.
- Manage concurrent tasks, prioritize work, and communicate findings to the Shop Manager.
- Document work in accordance with company standards using pictures, parts lists, and Repair Orders (RO).
- Operate hand tools, welding equipment, basic power tools, lifts, jacks, and stands safely.
- Maintain safety protocols and comply with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and PPE requirements.
- Act with integrity, demonstrate honesty, keep confidential information, and adhere to ethical standards.
- High School Diploma or GED plus 5 years of related experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Must possess a set of hand tools required for the role.
- OEM training and certifications preferred.
- Must complete all company training requirements.
- Pass DOT‑regulated background screening, DOT physical or medical card, and hold a valid state driver’s license with at least three‑year MVR.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
