Responsibilities- Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to mechanical equipment, including replacing and repairing belts, pulleys, actuators, valves, pneumatics, alignment, compressed air systems, fans, steam trap rebuilds, pumps, and other items such as hardware and door closures.
- Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to electrical equipment, including repairing and replacing switches, outlets, breakers (limited), motor wiring, fixtures, ballasts, and re-lamping.
- Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to building control systems, including repairing and replacing actuators, sensors, variable‑speed drives, thermostats, terminal level devices (TEC/DXR), control wiring, UPS units, relays, and other control components as required.
- Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to plumbing systems, including repairing faucets, valves, pipes, drains (including unclogging), toilets, and other plumbing‑related items.
- Complete required safety training and comply with all safety standards, including lock‑out/tag‑out, safe handling of refrigerant and hazardous chemicals, confined‑space safety, campus safety team participation, and required PPE usage. Report complex or unusual problems to the supervisor and coordinate with other maintenance staff as necessary.
- Operate mobile equipment and campus vehicles (e.g., trucks, golf carts, personnel lifts, forklifts); maintain licensure and complete required training. Provide excellent service to campus areas and demonstrate proficient use of AiM mobile devices to complete work orders. Perform additional duties as needed, including backup plant operator roles, painting, sheetrock patching, and repairing door closures and hardware.
- High school diploma or equivalent with at least two years of experience, or a relevant technical or vocational degree may substitute for experience.
- A valid state driver’s license for Florida or Georgia, or the ability to obtain one upon hire.
8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with a 30‑minute break.
Background CheckSuccessful completion of a criminal‑history background check is required.
