Irrigation Crew Leader

The Irrigation Crew Leader is responsible for overseeing and managing a team of irrigation technicians. This role involves coordinating daily irrigation system installations, repairs, and maintenance tasks, ensuring high-quality standards, and maintaining strong client relationships.

• Team Management:
  • Hire, train, and supervise irrigation crew members.
  • Assign tasks and delegate responsibilities to team members.
  • Monitor team performance and provide feedback and coaching.
  • Address any issues or conflicts within the team.
• Job Site Management:
  • Plan and schedule daily work assignments based on project timelines, client needs, and weather conditions.
  • Inspect job sites to assess irrigation system performance and identify issues.
  • Ensure all tools, equipment, and materials are maintained and ready for use.
  • Supervise and assist with tasks such as system installation, troubleshooting, repairs, and seasonal adjustments.
• Client Communication:
  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their irrigation needs and expectations.
  • Address client concerns and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients.
• Safety Compliance:
  • Ensure all team members follow safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Inspect equipment for safety hazards and take corrective action as needed.
  • Report any accidents or injuries to management.

• Proven experience as an irrigation crew leader or technician.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• In-depth knowledge of irrigation systems, components, and water management practices.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Certification in irrigation or landscape management (preferred).
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
