This position will report to Nash Plumbing and Mechanical, LLC, a subsidiary of HB Global.
Job Summary:
As a Commercial HVAC Technician-1 at Nash Plumbing and Mechanical, LLC, you will be responsible for performing essential maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair services on various commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This entry-level position requires a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service to our clients.
Job Responsibilities:
Assist senior HVAC technicians with installations, repairs, and maintenance of commercial HVAC systems, including but not limited to split systems, package units, chillers, boilers, and refrigeration equipment.
Perform routine preventative maintenance tasks such as cleaning coils, checking refrigerant levels, inspecting electrical components, and replacing filters.
Diagnose and troubleshoot basic HVAC system malfunctions, identifying root causes and recommending appropriate solutions.
Conduct minor repairs and component replacements under supervision.
Document all service and repair work accurately and thoroughly.
Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
Maintain a clean and organized work vehicle and tools.
Communicate effectively with clients and team members, providing clear explanations of work performed.
Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance technical skills.
Be available for occasional on-call shifts or emergency service as needed.
Job Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of a vocational HVAC program or apprenticeship is a plus.
Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
Basic understanding of HVAC systems and principles.
Familiarity with common hand and power tools used in HVAC work.
Ability to read and interpret basic schematics and wiring diagrams.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions and confined spaces.
EPA Section 608 Universal Certification (or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe).
Willingness to learn and grow within the HVAC industry.
