The primary scope of work performed is in the maintenance and repair of the low voltage program including but not limited to: fire alarms, security systems, cameras, loud speakers, telecommunications systems, electronic card access, work order systems, familiarization with other building trades for installations, repairs and renovations as well as other logical duties.
Duties- Oversee 6-7 employees: plans, prioritizes schedules, assigns work, inspects completed work, and coordinates all maintenance relating to all buildings on campus
- May perform hands on troubleshooting to assist technicians in solving daily problems
- Assists in selecting, establishing and maintaining blanket purchase order accounts
- Maintains bi-weekly timesheets, approves leave time, disciplines as needed and motivates personnel under his/her authority.
- Evaluates job performances, prepares and conducts evaluations
- Administration of the computerized work order system and preventative maintenance system along with coordinating and supervising daily work orders
- Maintain parts and supplies necessary for the day to day operation of Physical Plant Maintenance Department and assist in inventory control
- Work with suppliers and contractors for minor projects as needed
- Help schedule PM events
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and four years of appropriate experience.
- And a valid state of Florida’s driver’s license.
