In this role, you will work in collaboration with team members to complete repairs and preventative maintenance on various refrigeration and HVAC equipment while following proper safety protocol.

What will I do?

* Perform basic repairs and preventive maintenance on refrigeration and HVAC equipment

* Identify and diagnose issues with refrigeration and HVAC controls systems; repair self-contained cases and repair rooftop HVAC units of all types; demonstrate knowledge of secondary glycol racked systems as well as conventional DX racked systems

* Work effectively with a team, assisting other personnel as necessary to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner

* Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and customers; determine best practices for repair work and assess downtime with store personnel

* Create and maintain preventative maintenance records on all equipment serviced; maintain truck inventory

* Deliver incredible service to both internal and external customers, and maintain Wegmans high standards of quality and food & human safety procedures

Qualifications:

* 5 or more years related work experience

* Technical training through apprenticeship, RSES, trade school, or equivalent work experience

* EPA Universal Certification

* Proficient with the use of a laptop computer, possessing the ability to maintain, troubleshoot and operate building management systems, on board control systems, and manufacturer's PLC based control systems

* Sound mechanical ability, as well as knowledge of welding and plumbing

* Supermarket/restaurant related equipment experience, including knowledge of applicable codes, regulations and operating standards is preferred

* Independent ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical systems is preferred
