The Door Doctor of South Florida is hiring an experienced Garage Door Installer to install residential and light commercial garage doors throughout Broward, Palm Beach, and Miami-Dade counties. Serving South Florida since 1981. This is not an entry-level position.
What You'll Do:- Install residential and light commercial sectional garage doors and rolling steel doors;
- remove and replace existing garage doors and equipment;
- install tracks, springs, cables, drums, rollers, struts, and hardware;
- install and set up garage door operators;
- level, balance, adjust, test, and finish installations;
- review work orders and verify materials;
- lead and direct an installation helper;
- document jobs using company apps.
- Minimum 1 year of professional garage door installation experience required.
- Ability to install residential sectional garage doors independently.
- Experience with light commercial sectional doors and rolling steel doors.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to lift 75+ lbs regularly, work on ladders and at heights, and work outdoors in South Florida conditions.
- Must own hand and power tools and have a smartphone for company apps.
Schedule:
- Combination of piece-work and hourly compensation.
- $22-$27 per hour for work outside the piece-work structure.
- Monday-Friday, approximately 7:30 AM-3:30 PM, with occasional overtime or Saturday work.
- Partial employer contribution toward health insurance, PTO, paid holidays, bonus opportunities, tips, company work vehicle during work hours, company-provided ladders and specialty equipment.
