Lead Low-Voltage Technician

Reporting To: Scott Hayes, Director of Install
Compensation: $30.00 - $50.00 / hour
DescriptionOne Touch Media Designs LLC is seeking an experienced, highly skilled Senior Low-Voltage Installer / Lead Technician to perform and oversee the installation of high-end residential and commercial low-voltage systems.
You Are:- A trustworthy individual. Hungry to learn and grow. Hands-on and love being in the field as opposed to being behind a desk. Technically inclined and always curious how things work.
- Experience on construction sites. Ability to climb ladders, pull cabling, use power tools & hand tools. A steady work history (3yrs between hops), a pleasant disposition, hiqh EQ.
Location:
- 1097 NE 45th St, Oakland Park, FL 33334
Schedule:
- Full Time - 40 hours per week
- Mon-Fri (9 hour days depending on project location/access)

- OTMD makes relationships, not sales
- Pull/Terminate/Test Low-Voltage Cabling (structured cabling, fiber, AV, camera, control, lighting/shade)
- Mount devices at the ends of those wires (TV, speakers, cameras, access points, control devices)
- Build and lace equipment racks
- Advanced setup and configuration of devices
- Advanced understanding of networks
- Advanced troubleshooting of devices, wiring and connectivity issues
- Coordinate onsite progress with Project Managers
- Lead and inspect work of junior techs
- Provide client communication, support, and training
Experience:
- 5+ yrs of professional low-voltage installation experience
- Ability to read system drawings and adapt to scope changes in the field
- OSHA safety knowledge (preferred)
- Personal tool kit required
- CEDIA/BICSI/manufacturer certs (a plus!)
- $30-$50/hour, based on experience
- Medical reimbursement: 50% of employee-only premium, with copy of current coverage
- PTO: 10 days, prorated based on hire
- Commission: 16% of gross profit on product only on merchandise profit for add-ons sold directly to existing clients
- Commission: 20% of gross profit on product onlywhen you bring a new client to OTMD
