The AV Installer is a full-time, on-site role based in Sarasota, FL. This position is responsible for installing, configuring, and testing audio-visual and smart home systems, including displays, speakers, control devices, and networked components. Day-to-day tasks include reading and interpreting technical plans, running and terminating cabling, mounting equipment, performing system integration, and troubleshooting issues to ensure optimal performance. The AV Installer will interact with clients and project partners on-site, provide clear status updates, and maintain a clean, safe work environment.

The role also involves documenting installations, performing basic maintenance, and supporting system upgrades as needed.

• Hands-on experience with AV installation, including mounting displays, installing speakers, and integrating control systems.
• Proficiency in low-voltage cabling, cable management, and basic networking for connected home devices.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and equipment specifications.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for diagnosing and resolving AV and connectivity issues.
• Effective communication and customer service skills to interact professionally with clients and team members.
• Attention to detail, time management, and ability to work independently on-site with minimal supervision.
• Comfort with using hand and power tools, and adherence to safety standards and best practices.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites in and around Sarasota, FL.
• Previous experience in residential AV or smart home integration is preferred; industry certifications (e.g., CEDIA, CTS) are a plus.
