Pump Operations Assistant

Our expanding drilling crew in Tallahassee is seeking a diligent and reliable Pump Operations Assistant. You will collaborate directly with a seasoned Pump Operator to support various drilling tasks, manage equipment maintenance, and facilitate site operations.

• Support the Pump Operator during mud rotary, reverse mud rotary, and reverse air rotary drilling processes.
• Develop proficiency in the operation and upkeep of drill rigs and associated machinery.
• Help ensure drilling sites are properly prepared and dismantled.
• Gain experience operating machinery like forklifts, hydraulic winches, top drives, and combination backhoes.
• Support the team by assisting with the transport and lifting of heavy gear.
• Foster positive relationships by interacting professionally with site consultants and clients.
• Contribute to equipment longevity by performing routine maintenance and keeping tools orderly.
• Help maintain fleet condition by assisting with welding, grinding, scraping, and painting tasks.
• Ensure the shop remains tidy and equipment is properly stored.
• Help maintain a safe working environment for the entire team by adhering to all safety protocols.
• Keep the workspace orderly and free of hazards to improve site efficiency.
• Travel to various project locations across Florida, Alabama, and Georgia.

• Background in industrial, mechanical, drilling, heavy equipment, or construction fields is a plus.
• Possess a natural mechanical aptitude and a desire to acquire new skills.
• Capable of performing physical labor in outdoor settings.
• Prepared to travel consistently throughout the work week.
• Comfortable with a schedule that requires being away from home from Monday to Friday.
• Capacity to safely manage or learn to handle heavy machinery.
• Physically able to handle, lift, and move heavy tools and equipment.
• Reliable, focused on safety, and receptive to instructions.
• Demonstrate a strong work ethic and contribute to team success.
• Eager to gain expertise in specialized equipment operation and drilling methods.

• Receive a daily allowance of $40 for travel expenses.
• Compensation provided for time spent driving.
