Speech Pathologist

School Year

Salary based on experience and degree on the Teacher Pay Scale and 10-month work schedule. Salary schedule can be found on the district website:

• Must hold or be eligible for a license from the State of Delaware as a Speech and Language Pathologist
• Clean Criminal Background Check, TB Test, and Child Protection Registry Clearance must be completed prior to start of employment

• Work in person in the building to which they are assigned
• Perform a variety of duties involved in testing, evaluation, diagnosis, and administration of students with speech and language disorders
• Administer a variety of tests to evaluate speech and language disorders
• Interpret test results and meet with parents and other team members to discuss progress
• Develop Individual Education Plans and related documentation for speech and language children
• Work as a member of a professional interdisciplinary team
• Cooperate with supervisors and staff of various state agencies
• Other related duties as may be required

Location may vary among all IRSD schools
