Overview
The JDAP Supervisor is responsible for daily operations of JDAP while continuously working to adhere to the mission and vision of the organization. The role requires a mastery of policies and procedures, training requirements, and local resources to guide staff in providing quality services to families.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in human services, social work, criminology or closely related field;
Masters preferred from an accredited college or university. - Three (3) years of experience working with juvenile populations with at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity, or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Must possess a valid Florida Driver's License and Auto Insurance coverage.
- Complete initial reviews of all referrals for program appropriateness and continue to review cases per contract requirements.
- Become familiar with agency contract goals and requirements and to ensure staff performance toward those goals.
- Provide crisis management, debriefing, and consultation to staff when necessary.
- Ensure program staff comply with regulations and timelines of funding sources, Quality Improvement goals and contract standards.
- Ensure all invoicing is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Ensure all scorecard and survey information has been completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Use discretion to close cases successfully or unsuccessfully.
- Train and mentor all staff, new and current, on agency policies, procedures, and rules.
- Demonstrate advanced skills in communicating with, motivating, training, and evaluating staff, and meet regularly with each staff under supervision to monitor and mentor performance.
- Identify performance needs of case managers and other assigned staff and develop and implement plans for performance improvement.
- Identify program needs, goals, priorities, and service gaps in collaboration with staff.
- Create and execute action plans to address findings.
- Remain aware of trends, opportunities, and challenges within the agency's client population by networking at community meetings.
- Attend stakeholder meetings, including Juvenile Justice Council Meetings and other community provider meetings.
- Perform all other related duties as assigned.
- Provide day-to-day supervision to Case Managers, Senior Case Managers and Youth and Family Coordinator to ensure caseloads are appropriately managed and the program is meeting contract requirements.
- Facilitate and participate in all required staffing, supervision, and case reviews.
- Review collateral information such as family assessments, case plans and case documentation with case managers, and provide consultation and direction to them to ensure appropriateness, clarity, quality, and thoroughness.
- Provide leadership and work closely with other agencies to identify opportunities for collaboration and coordination of services.
