Night Youth Care Worker

Join a group of passionate advocates on our mission to improve the lives of youth! Rite of Passage Team is hiring for Night Youth Care Worker at Walton Academy for Growth and Change in DeFuniak Springs, Florida.

Located near the white sand beaches of Northwest Florida in DeFuniak Springs, Walton Academy provides residential treatment to improve the lives of youth through mental health and substance abuse services. We offer skills and opportunities in Carpentry/Home Building, Culinary Arts, and more.

Starting at $19 per hour, paid bi‑weekly. Earn a $1,000 training incentive when you complete the Essential Skills Training Program within the first 90 days of employment.

Provide 24‑hour security and supervision to ensure the safety of male youths aged 13‑19 in a high‑risk residential treatment DJJ program. Monitor and document behaviors, join youth during recreation time, and assist and mentor them as they learn and develop within the program.

Possess a high school diploma or GED and 40 hours of college education, or have one‑year experience working with youth in organized group activities and a valid driver’s license.

Night shifts 8 pm–8 am. Shift A:
Sunday through Wednesday. Shift B:
Wednesday through Saturday. Workers receive three days off each week.
