Duties
* Serves as the AFSOC Command Support Agreement Manager.
* Represents COMAFSOC as the AFSOC principle member attending HQ USSOCOM and HQ USAF World-Wide Support Agreement Conferences.
* Performs supervisory management responsibilities over assigned AFSOC Enlisted Logistics Plans personnel.
* Represents the Directorate of Logistics for force structure changes, base realignment, site surveys/activations, base closures and Command Programming Plans. Requirements Conditions of employment

* Depending on the type of position (competitive/excepted) you are selected for, you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period OR 2-year trial period.
* Ten years minimum of core Air Force Logistics Plans (WRM, Plans, Deployments and Support Agreements) experience required.
* Two years minimum HQ AFSOC experience highly desired. Baccalaureate degree is desirable.
* Work may require travel away from the normal duty station to include CONUS or overseas. Drivers Licenses and passport are required. Travel by both military and commercial aircraft is required.
* Proficiency in general computer operations, to include Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel is highly desirable.
* Incumbent must obtain and maintain a top secret security clearance.
* Employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends and/or holidays and/or overtime.
* This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use. Qualifications In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions for Logistics Management Series, 0346. SPECIALIZED
EXPERIENCE:
Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-11, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes extensive and thorough knowledge of Air Force logistics in general. Broad knowledge of the theories and principles of logistics management. Knowledge of major issues, program goals, work operations, and managerial channels of organizations involved in inter/intra service support agreements, international agreements and ACSA agreements.
Thorough knowledge and understanding of inter/intra service support agreements, international agreements and ACSA agreements. Comprehensive knowledge of laws, policies, regulations and precedents applicable to interservice agreements. FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS:
Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-11 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-12 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks.
NOTE:
Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements. KNOWLEDGE,
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
(KSAs):
Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
* Broad knowledge of the theories and principles of Logistics Management, logistics functions, operational planning, analysis, readiness and program execution. A working knowledge or experience with HQ USSOCOM and HQ AFSOC daily operations is highly desired.
* Thorough and comprehensive knowledge and understanding of all aspects of Support Agreements to include Inter-Service, International and Acquisition and Cross-Servicing Agreements.
* Knowledge of Department of Defense (DoD), HQ USSOCOM, Air Force and AFSOC planning policies, directives and instructions used to evaluate and direct development, staffing, and management of AFSOC programming plans for force structure changes, base realignment, site surveys/activations, base closures, etc.
Experience with developing staff summary sheets, bullet background papers, messages and official letters is highly desired as much of the correspondence is read and reviewed by senior leadership. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis on experience with PowerPoint, Word and Excel is also highly desired.
