Florida State University’s College of Medicine has been awarded more than $19 million through the Rural Health Transformation Program to strengthen healthcare access and outcomes in rural Florida. The funding will support six new projects focused on critical needs including behavioral health, preventive care, food insecurity, telehealth, at-home care and healthcare workforce development. Through partnerships with communities and healthcare organizations across Northwest and Southwest Florida, FSU is working to bring innovative, practical solutions directly to rural communities and help close longstanding gaps in care.
Responsibilities- Manage project implementation:
Oversee day-to-day activities for the Rural Health Transformation Program across participating Southwest Florida counties and partner organizations. Develop and track workplans, timelines, milestones, deliverables, and program goals while addressing risks and implementation challenges. - Coordinate partners and stakeholders:
Build and maintain relationships with healthcare organizations, community groups, public health partners, local governments, and other stakeholders. Facilitate meetings, advisory committees, learning collaboratives, and other engagement activities to support collaboration and communication. - Ensure compliance and program alignment:
Ensure project activities follow university, state, federal, and funding agency requirements. Monitor contracts, subawards, consultants, vendors, and project resources to ensure compliance with program and funding guidelines. - Monitor performance and quality improvement:
Track project progress, performance measures, and outcomes. Work with the Data Manager and project partners to review data, identify improvement opportunities, and support quality improvement and performance action plans. - Manage budgets and resources:
Monitor project budgets and expenditures, assist with forecasting and resource allocation, and ensure funds and other project resources are used appropriately. - Support reporting and dissemination:
Coordinate progress reports and assist with presentations, summaries, policy briefs, and other program materials. Share project outcomes, successes, best practices, and lessons learned with stakeholders and at state and national forums.
- Bachelor's degree and four years of experience related to health and human services; or a high school diploma/equivalent and experience equal to eight years. (
Note:
post-high school education can substitute for experience at the equivalent rate). - Reliable transportation, and a valid Florida or Georgia Driver's License or the ability to obtain prior to hire.
