Lead .NET Developer – Financial Systems

The Lead .NET Developer will serve within the Office of Information Technology, supporting enterprise financial systems and business transformation initiatives. This role functions as a lead developer and subject matter expert, responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and enhancing applications that support complex financial business processes. The position requires technical leadership, hands‑on development, mentoring of development teams, and collaboration with cross‑functional stakeholders to ensure robust, scalable, and high‑quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as Lead Developer and Subject Matter Expert for applications supporting complex financial systems.
- Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain scalable enterprise solutions.
- Ensure adherence to software development standards and best practices.
- Facilitate software development efforts across cross‑functional teams.
- Document critical business processes and analyze current systems for efficiency improvements.
- Assist in business process re‑engineering initiatives related to financial systems transformation.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to developers.
- Oversee code quality from development through QA, staging, and production environments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues using appropriate tools and methodologies.
- Collaborate with architects and developers to define roadmaps, methodologies, and documentation standards.
- Develop reports using SQL, Power BI, and SSRS as required.
- Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and development methodologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field (Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.)
- 7+ years of experience as a Lead Developer or Development Manager.
- 5+ years of experience working with relational databases including Azure SQL, SQL Server, Oracle (or similar relational databases).
- Extensive experience developing and maintaining software systems supporting complex financial business processes.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Visual Studio, .NET Framework/.NET Core, and ORM technologies (Entity Framework, n-Hibernate).
- Strong knowledge of relational database concepts and advanced SQL proficiency.
- Experience creating reports using SQL, Power BI, and SSRS.
- Experience conducting complex systems analysis and translating business requirements into technical solutions.
- Knowledge of quality assurance methodologies and tools.
- Experience working in enterprise, cross‑functional environments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Ability to mentor and guide development teams.
