General SummaryThe Florida Senate Office of Information Technology is hiring .NET Software Developers to help build and support modern applications used across the Senate organization. Our team develops internal systems using technologies such as .NET, Angular, SQL Server, and Azure Dev Ops in a collaborative development environment focused on delivering practical solutions.
Senate IT offers the opportunity to work on meaningful engineering challenges while maintaining a healthy work-life balance within a supportive team environment.

This position is based in Tallahassee, Florida and requires on-site work.
Financial DisclosurePursuant to sections 112.3144 and 112.3145, F.S., this position is required to electronically file aForm 1 – Statement of Financial Interests with the Florida Commission on Ethics within 30 days of hire.
Examples of Work Performed- Design, develop, test, and maintain applications using .NET and Angular
- Develop and enhance internal web applications supporting organizational business processes
- Design and implement APIs supporting internal systems and integrations
- Develop responsive user interfaces using Angular, HTML, CSS, and Type Script
- Work with SQL Server databases to design and optimize queries
- Troubleshoot and resolve application issues
- Participate in code reviews and collaborative development activities
- Angular or similar modern web frameworks
- Relational database concepts and SQL development
- Troubleshooting and debugging application issues
A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, management information systems, mathematics, or engineering and two years of progressively responsible information systems experience.
Progressively responsible information systems experience can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required college education. Any combination of progressively responsible information systems experience and post-secondary training in disciplines as described above totaling six years.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with ASP.NET Core or modern .NET development
- Experience with Angular or similar frameworks (React, Blazor)
- Experience developing REST APIs and data-driven applications
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern development tools such as Visual Studio and Azure Dev Ops
- Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments
Candidates who do not meet every preferred qualification but have relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
Anticipated hiring salary range: $85,000 - $105,000 annually, depending on qualifications and level of experience.
