The Florida Senate Office of Information Technology is hiring a .NET Technical Lead / Software Team Leader to lead the design, development, and evolution of modern applications used across the Senate organization. Our development team builds internal systems using technologies such as .NET, Angular, SQL Server, and Azure Dev Ops in a collaborative environment focused on delivering practical, reliable solutions.

This position is based in Tallahassee, Florida and requires on-site work.
Financial DisclosurePursuant to sections 112.3144 and 112.3145, F.S., this position is required to electronically file a Form 1 –Statement of Financial Interests with the Florida Commission on Ethics within 30 days of hire.
Responsibilities- Lead and mentor a team of developers with a range of experience levels
- Help drive technical direction, architecture, and development standards for new applications and system improvements
- Build and maintain applications using .NET and modern web frameworks such as Angular
- Design and implement APIs and application services
- Contribute to the most complex portions of application development
- Conduct code reviews and promote development best practices
- Maintain and enhance existing applications and systems
- Work collaboratively in an Agile development environment

A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, management information systems, mathematics, or engineering and four years of progressively responsible information systems experience.
Progressively responsible information systems experience can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required college education. Any combination of progressively responsible information systems experience and post-secondary training in disciplines as described above totaling eight years.
Preferred QualificationsExperience with:
- Angular, React, or Blazor
- CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment workflows
- SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
- Microsoft SharePoint development or API integration
- Microsoft development tools including Azure Dev Ops and Visual Studio
- Agile or Scrum development environments
Candidates who do not meet every preferred qualification but have relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
SalaryAnticipated hiring salary range: $95,000 - $115,000 annually, depending on qualifications and level of experience. The Legislature offers a competitive benefits package.
