- Coaching the Cheer team and Spirit club athletes at Florida High School
- Conditioning athletes during the off season
- Monitor individual grades
- Establish effective communication between the athlete, coaches, parents, administration, and media.
- Assist all athletes in recruiting for intercollegiate cheer programs
- Manage, plan, promote, setup and oversee volunteers for home competitions and fund raisers.
- Assign staff and positions based on supplements provided for each coach, per collective bargaining.
- Planning of awards and presentations to celebrate the success of athletes, coaches, etc
- Transportation to and from games and competitions will be created and scheduled by the head coach, within the policies of FSUS.
- Develop fundamental development of cognitive and skill based movement patterns and concepts.
- Responsible for the scheduling of competition for interscholastic competition (middle, JV, and Varsity levels through fhsaahome.org) that will sanction competitons between schools and officials.
- Report scores and statistics that involves the program to all local media, promote within the school, and administration.
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Valid State of Florida Coaching Certificate (or ability to obtain prior to start of season)
- Current certifications in CPR, First Aid, Concussion in Sports, and Sudden Cardiac Arrest (required prior to season)
- Experience working with children and young adults in an educational or athletic setting
- Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills
- College coursework or degree in Education, Kinesiology, Sports Management or related field
