We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Fleet Director to lead our transportation and fleet management operations. This pivotal role involves overseeing the entire fleet lifecycle, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, optimizing logistics efficiency, and managing risk across all transportation activities.
DutiesDevelop and execute comprehensive fleet management strategies aligned with organizational goals, emphasizing safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
Oversee daily fleet operations, including vehicle procurement, maintenance scheduling, route planning, and utilization optimization.
Ensure adherence to OSHA standards and other relevant safety regulations through regular training programs and safety audits.
Manage logistics processes related to freight movement, supply chain coordination, and transportation management systems.
Monitor regulatory reporting requirements related to fleet operations, including compliance with FDA regulations where applicable.
Lead risk management initiatives by analyzing operational hazards, implementing mitigation measures, and maintaining incident reporting protocols.
Collaborate with internal departments to streamline supply chain processes and improve overall transportation efficiency.
Prepare detailed reports on fleet performance metrics, compliance status, safety incidents, and operational costs for executive review.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for process enhancements and implementing best practices in fleet management.
Class 8 Tractor trailer experience
Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, FDA regulations (if applicable), and other transportation-related regulatory frameworks.
Demonstrated expertise in logistics planning, freight management, and supply chain coordination.
Experience with regulatory reporting requirements related to fleet operations and safety compliance.
Skilled in risk management techniques with a track record of reducing incidents and ensuring workplace safety.
Proficiency in report writing for operational analysis, compliance documentation, and strategic planning.
Familiarity with transportation management software (TMS), fleet tracking systems, and maintenance scheduling tools.
Class 8 tractor trailer: 5 years (Required)
