STARTING SALARY: $15.00 per hour
DESCRIPTION:
The Bureau of General Services is seeking an individual to work in Fleet Management, building operations management and records management. This position requires strong detailed oriented skills.
EXAMPLES OF WORK:
Major duties will be assigning vehicles and maintaining the department vehicle pool. Duties include, but not limited to:
Receiving vehicle use requests and assigning vehicles to staff
Maintains vehicle assignment calendar and rotation spreadsheet
Maintains vehicle usage tracking reports
Verifying vehicle log entries for accuracy
Input of logs and monthly maintenance in the Fleet Wave System
Performs routine maintenance, fueling and washing of pool vehicles
Ensures all vehicles are locked and secured nightly
Monitors, reviews data and provides reports from GEOTAB
Serves as back-up to vehicle PIN number assignments and deletions
Other duties that may be required are:
Monitors Building Maintenance Requests and assigns for appropriate action, also performs maintenance services (i.e. hanging white and cork boards, pictures, keyboard tray installations and furniture assembly).
Conducts annual building maintenance reviews, provides reports and works with the Landlord to ensure all items are addressed.
Assisting with record dispositions, cataloging records in excel for disposal.
Experience working with automobiles and general automobile maintenance.
Experience with various tools and ability to lift 35-pound boxes daily, preferred.
Performs other duties as required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of general automobile maintenance and maintenance software’s
Knowledge of general building maintenance.
Knowledge of working with records/ files.
Ability to use hand tools
Ability to communicate effectively.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
Skilled in the use of personal computers, including a working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
A High School diploma is required.
Valid Florida Drivers License is required.
PREFERENCE WILL BE GIVEN TO CANDIDATES WITH THE FOLLOWING:
Preference will be given to candidates with 1-3 years’ experience working with fleet operations and building maintenance requests.

A valid driver’s license is required for this position. If initially hired with an out-of-state license, the Florida resident must obtain a valid Florida state driver’s license within 30 days of hire. Licenses suspended or revoked for any reason, work permits (Business purpose/Employment/education only licenses) and some types of restricted licenses are not acceptable. Licenses that have Corrective Lenses Restriction are acceptable, provided the driver wears corrective lenses while operating the vehicle.
