The RoleWe are seeking a Skilled Equipment Operator with direct experience in railroad track maintenance. This is not an entry-level position. The ideal candidate brings technical knowledge, equipment proficiency, and a strong safety mindset to every job. You will play a critical role in maintaining track integrity, supporting safe rail operations, and ensuring all work meets regulatory and company standards.
Key Responsibilities- Precision Equipment Operation:
Safely operate railroad maintenance machinery such as regulators, tampers, ballast equipment, or backhoes with rail attachments. - Track Repair & Maintenance:
Perform track surfacing, tie replacement, rail repair, and related maintenance activities to required specifications. - Safety Compliance:
Follow all FRA regulations and company safety policies while promoting a strong safety culture on site. - Inspection & Reporting:
Identify track defects, equipment issues, and safety concerns, communicating findings clearly and professionally. - Team
Collaboration:
Work effectively with crew members and supervisors to complete projects efficiently and accurately.
- Minimum 1–2 years of direct Railroad Track Maintenance (MOW) experience.
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment in construction, rail, or industrial environments.
- Strong understanding of rail safety practices and job-site awareness.
- Ability to work in outdoor conditions and meet the physical demands of track-side operations.
