Warehouse Attendant

We are hiring immediately for a full‑time Warehouse Attendant position at the Canteen – 1491 Quality Way, Tallahassee, FL 32303. (Online applications only.)

• Full‑time schedule:
  Monday‑Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Some Saturdays required. Schedule details upon interview.
• Previous stocking experience preferred.
• Pay: $16.50 to $18.00 per hour.

Receives, stores, and distributes materials, tools, equipment, and products.

• Read production schedules, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
• Convey materials from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas.
• Place materials/goods on racks, shelves, bins, or in refrigerated rooms according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color or product code.
• Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distribute items to production workers or assembly line.
• Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves; convey orders to packing station or shipping department.
• Mark materials with identifying information.
• Open bales, crates and other containers.
• Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
• Weigh or count items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards.
• Arrange stock parts in specified sequence for assembly by other workers.
• Use computer to enter records.
• Compile worksheets or tickets from customer specifications.
• Drive vehicle to transport stored items or to pick up items.
• Complete requisition forms to order supplies from other plant departments.
• Prepare parcels for mailing.
• Maintain inventory records.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Ensure proper presentation, portion control, and maintenance of serving temperatures; follow HACCP standards.
• Maintain personal safety and that of others.
• Abide by all company policies and procedures including but not limited to:
• Use medium‑weight cut gloves when handling or using knives, peelers, choppers, mandolins or cleaning a slicer.
• Use oven mitts, fryer gloves or steamer gloves when handling hot pans from ovens, warmers or steam tables.
• Use slip‑resistant shoes and proper lifting techniques.
