Job Description:
RBM Partners is seeking an experienced Service Technician. The Technician is responsible for the overall maintenance and upkeep of our multifamily real estate assets. You will work under the guidance of an experienced maintenance supervisor and will have the opportunity to learn and develop essential maintenance skills. This position requires a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to maintaining the operational integrity of our facilities.
Job Duties:
• Timely completion of maintenance work orders and make ready tasks as assigned by the Service Manager and Community Manager.
• Participate in and complete preventative maintenance plans for the community.
• Communicate with Service Manager and Community Manager daily and report deficiencies with the assets, resident issues, and propose action to repair/correct.
• Ensure all repairs, installations, and maintenance work meet quality and safety requirements.
• Track and manage inventory of tools and supplies. Communicate with the Service Manager and Community Manager when shop inventory is low.
• Perform ground maintenance, assist with trash removal, and participate in property inspections daily and as directed by the Service Manager or Community Manager.
• Ensure the buildings are kept in top shape inside and outside of the buildings.
• Deliver excellent customer service to both residents and team members to maintain high levels of satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
• Use App Folio to keep records of work and check and respond to company email daily.
• Participate in the on-call rotation of your assigned property; ensure all emergencies are responded to within the designated timeframe.
• Work effectively with other maintenance personnel, vendors, and team members to complete work and resolve issues efficiently.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Maintenance Technician, preferably in the multifamily industry
• Working knowledge of basic carpentry items
• The ability to lift, move, carry up to 50lbs.
• The ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb and reach up to 100% of the day.
• The ability to safely climb ladders while carrying 40lbs.
• The ability to work outside in various weather conditions.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
• Team player with a positive, can-do attitude
8-5 M-F + On call rotation
