Job Description
Be a part of a world-class academic healthcare system at Ingalls Memorial Hospital as a Physical Therapist. (oncology/lymphedema) In this role as a Physical Therapist you will examine, evaluate, test and work to alleviate mechanical, physiological or developmental impairments, functional limitations, disabilities or other health and movement related conditions; classifying these disorders, determining a rehabilitation prognosis and plan of therapeutic intervention and assessing the ongoing effects of the interventions.

- Evaluates patients utilizing the advanced/specialized test and measurements; to determine the physical therapy problem/level of function and the expected discharge environment.
- Promotes and has knowledge of and utilizes appropriate patient care protocol relating to the physical, psychosocial, and developmental needs of adult patients.
- Establishes a treatment plan based upon the evaluation findings; and the patient/family, the referring practitioner, and therapist’s goals.
- Performs advanced/specialized physical therapy techniques and procedures.
- Treats patients with complex problems ie. co-morbidities and/or poor previous out-comes; consults on difficult cases for staff and referring practitioners.
- Documents findings; patient progress; and procedures performed, and time required.
- Instructs patient/families in home programs.
- Demonstrates effective time management; achieves designated productivity standard.
- Perform comprehensive evaluations to assess musculoskeletal conditions.
- Graduate of an accredited program with minimum Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s or Doctorate preferred.
- Licensed, or eligible, in the state of Illinois with Notification of eligibility for examination.
- Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
