Controller​/Assistant Controller

Korn Ferry is partnering with our client on their search for a Controller/Assistant Controller.

• Reports To: VP of Accounting & Finance
• Location: Flower Mound, TX (Hybrid Preferred but has some remote capabilities)
• Overview: This is a highly visible individual contributor role responsible for supporting the accounting function across multiple entities and ERP systems. The ideal candidate will lead month-end close activities, account reconciliations, financial reporting support, audit preparation, and daily accounting operations while ensuring all deadlines are consistently met in a fast‑paced growth environment

• Individual contributor role with no direct reports
• Reports directly to the VP of Accounting & Finance
• Works closely with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Treasury, Operations, and Executive Leadership
• Serves as a key member of the accounting team supporting multiple entities and ERP platforms

• Own and execute month‑end close processes, ensuring all entries are completed accurately and on schedule
• Ensure monthly books are closed by established deadlines and all account reconciliations are completed timely
• Prepare and review account reconciliations, cash reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting schedules
• Investigate and resolve account variances and reconciliation discrepancies
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting activities
• Support annual audits and lender audit requirements while coordinating requested documentation
• Assist with the preparation and analysis of financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Maintain and support ERP systems while serving as a key liaison with software vendors and internal stakeholders
• Monitor subledger activity and ensure data integrity across accounting systems
• Prepare ad hoc financial reporting and operational analysis as requested by leadership
• Support treasury functions as a secondary approver when needed
• Collaborate closely with AP and AR teams to ensure smooth accounting operations and timely issue resolution

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
• CPA preferred but not required
• 5+ years of accounting experience in a similar role
• Strong background in GAAP accounting and account reconciliations
• Proven ability to manage month‑end close processes and consistently meet deadlines
• Experience preparing journal entries, financial reports, and audit support schedules
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across all levels of an organization
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive
• Demonstrated ability to operate independently with minimal oversight
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical capabilities
• Experience with Tableau, Net Suite, or similar ERP systems is a plus
• Logistics, transportation, or supply chain industry experience is helpful but not required

• Target Total Compensation: $100K–$120K
