Hybrid – The Associate Manager, Complex Accounting will work primarily from the Flower Mound, TX location, requiring a residential proximity within 50 miles. The role expects in‑office presence 2 days a week (Tuesday and Wednesday), with the remaining days worked from home.
Responsibilities- Function as an extension of the divisional teams, proactively communicating and leading meetings to resolve issues and implement improvements.
- Perform critical month‑end close functions for our divisions, ensuring journal entries and reconciliations are completed timely and accurately, in accordance with corporate policy.
- Execute SOX internal controls related to revenue recognition, reserves, deferred revenue, lease accounting, intangible impairment analysis, pensions, and stock‑based compensation accounting.
- Prepare quarterly SEC reporting schedules.
- Influence divisional leaders by effectively communicating ideas, recommendations, and insights to drive positive change and achieve organizational goals.
- Recommend and implement process improvements to ensure integrity and efficiency while driving consistency between our US‑based divisions.
- Assist with GAAP research and prepare accounting position memos (e.g., ASC
606 and ASC
842).
- Bachelor's degree.
- 6+ years of experience in a related field.
- Proficiency with Excel.
- Strong written and verbal skills enabling effective communication with all levels of management.
- Demonstrated problem‑solving and project leadership abilities.
- Ability to interpret and analyze data accurately and efficiently.
- Strong coordination skills across a dispersed, matrixed organization.
- CPA or Big4 experience.
- Experience with Hyperion Financial Management and Black Line software.
- Solid understanding of GAAP, and experience researching and applying GAAP.
US: $98,200 – $163,700 USD annually. Travel: 10%.
