The Associate Manager Complex Accounting is an individual contributor who partners with our US-based divisions and corporate functions (Treasury, Financial Reporting, Tax), providing accounting insights, general accounting review, and reporting for leases, revenue, acquisitions, and other complex corporate accounting areas including stock-based compensation, pension, and equity investments.
What You Will Do- Function as an extension of the divisional teams, proactively communicating and leading meetings to resolve issues and implement improvements.
- Perform critical month‑end close functions for our divisions, ensuring journal entries and reconciliations are completed timely and accurately in accordance with corporate policy.
- Execute SOX internal controls related to revenue recognition and reserves, deferred revenue, lease accounting, intangible impairment analysis, pensions, and stock‑based compensation accounting.
- Prepare quarterly SEC reporting schedules.
- Influence divisional leaders by effectively communicating ideas, recommendations, and insights to drive positive change and achieve organizational goals.
- Recommend and implement process improvements to ensure integrity and efficiency while driving consistency between US‑based divisions.
- Assist with GAAP research and preparation of accounting position memos, e.g., ASC 606 and 842.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 6+ years of experience in related field required.
- Proficiency with Excel.
- Strong written and verbal skills enabling effective communication with all levels of management.
- Demonstrated ability to solve problems and lead projects to completion.
- Ability to interpret and analyze data accurately and efficiently.
- Strong ability to coordinate action across dispersed workforce and highly matrixed organization.
- CPA / Big 4 experience preferred.
- Experience with Hyperion Financial Management and Black Line software.
- Solid understanding of GAAP, experience researching and applying GAAP.
- Strong written and verbal skills enabling effective communication with all levels of management.
- Demonstrated ability to solve problems and lead projects to completion.
- US10: $98,200 - $163,700 USD Annual
