Summary

The Senior Product Manager serves as the strategic and operational leader for Budget Blinds’ core product categories, including the blinds and shades portfolio and the associated Vendor Alliance Partners (VAPs). This hybrid role combines end‑to‑end product category ownership with vendor relationship leadership, ensuring all products, programs, partners, and initiatives deliver exceptional value to franchisees, customers, and the system as a whole.

The role provides backup support for Director‑level responsibilities as needed, offers exposure to Director‑level work through project‑based support and cross‑functional collaboration, builds competencies that may support future career progression, and develops leadership capabilities through mentorship, feedback, and stretch assignments.

Supervisory Responsibilities
  • This role has no supervisory responsibilities.
  • The preferred candidate will have previous experience as a people leader, coach, or mentor.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Lead long‑term strategy development for assigned product categories.
  • Own and maintain the product roadmap.
  • Analyze trends, franchisee feedback, competitive landscape, and category performance.
  • Lead the full lifecycle of assigned categories.
  • Partner with vendors on new product introductions and innovation efforts.
  • Serve as the primary business liaison for Vendor Alliance Partners.
  • Monitor performance and collaborate with Finance on forecasting.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and vendors on promotional programs.
  • Coordinate vendor sample orders.
  • Act as a cross‑functional leader.
  • Gather franchisee insights and translate into actions.
  • Support corporate events and initiatives.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education And Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Minimum of five years of Product Management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Window covering industry experience is required.
  • Experience in franchising or home services industries is preferred.
  • Familiarity with rebate, forecasting, or promotional funding programs is preferred.
  • Understanding of product safety compliance.
  • Experience managing complex product portfolios.
Physical Requirements
  • Light‑duty work environment – primarily office‑based with minimal physical exertion.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer.
  • Occasional standing or walking for presentations or facilitation.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 15 lbs occasionally.
  • Hybrid model – Work from the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and from home on Monday, Friday.
  • Up to 25% travel may be required for meetings, vendor events, training, or conventions in the US and internationally.
