- Responsibilities: scheduling and canceling patient appointments; checking‑in/out patients; entering charges and payments; answering the telephone; verifying insurance and demographics; collecting co‑payments/coinsurance and personal balances; perform selected administrative duties and assist nursing staff; collect patient specimens; take patient histories and vital signs; prepare exam and treatment rooms; give injections and apply casts, splints, dressings; maintain supplies and equipment; assist physician with minor surgeries and physicals;
perform other duties as required; adhere to Physician Services policies, Code of Conduct, and Patient‑Centered Medical Home duties as applicable. - Experience:
one year of Medical Assisting or other direct clinical patient care experience in a healthcare setting. - Certification/License:
Medical Assistant Certification (NCRMA, RMA, CCMA, CMA, NCMA, OE) or other acceptable certifications; students who recently graduated must obtain certification within 60 days of employment; candidates without certification must obtain certification within one year of hire. - Education:
