North Star Diagnostic Imaging, LLC is hiring a Full-Time Mammography Technologist in Flower Mound, TX. The role runs Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with no weekend or on-call shifts — offering a predictable schedule many imaging professionals seek.
About the Mammography Technologist RoleThe Mammography Technologist delivers high-quality screening and diagnostic breast imaging services. Operating Hologic Dimensions equipment, the technologist produces clear, accurate images while ensuring every patient receives compassionate, thorough care throughout the examination process. The position also emphasizes regulatory compliance, image quality assurance, and accurate clinical documentation.
Key Responsibilities- Perform high-quality screening and diagnostic mammograms using Hologic Dimensions equipment
- Verify patient information, explain procedures, and provide reassurance to reduce patient anxiety
- Position patients accurately and select appropriate exposure factors for optimal images
- Follow radiation protection practices to minimize exposure to patients and staff
- Review images in real time and make adjustments before finalizing examinations
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in compliance with all regulatory standards
- Conduct quality-control testing and uphold all MQSA documentation requirements
- Support equipment uptime through preventive maintenance and timely issue reporting
- Stay current with continuing education and emerging mammography practices
- Follow infection-control, patient-safety, and emergency-response policies
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and exceptional patient experiences
- Current Texas Medical Board license
- Current ARRT (M) certification in Mammography
- Strong patient-care and interpersonal communication skills
- In-depth knowledge of mammography procedures and radiologic technology principles
- Demonstrated commitment to image quality and patient safety
- Excellent organizational and planning abilities
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently
- Team-oriented mindset with a collaborative approach
- Pay: Competitive, based on experience
- PTO: Up to 80 hours accrued
- Uniforms: Company-provided scrubs
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
- No weekends or on-call shifts
- Highlight MQSA and ARRT (M) credentials prominently on your resume — these are non-negotiable and should appear near the top of your application.
- Showcase patient-communication experience, especially with anxious or vulnerable populations, since reducing patient anxiety is a core function of this role.
- Mention hands-on experience with Hologic or similar mammography systems if applicable; specific equipment familiarity is a strong differentiator.
