A Chief Loader position is available at MI Windows and Door. You will be responsible for the accurate and efficient loading of our finished window and door products onto delivery trucks.

Monday through Friday starting at 6 a.m. Hourly compensation starts at $22.50.

Objective

The general purpose of this position is to assist the team lead and to take over the team lead’s duties in the absence of the supervisor.

Typical Duties And Responsibilities
  • Assist the team lead and take over the team lead’s duties in the absence of the supervisor.
  • Review daily production needs and organize any hot orders.
  • Review attendance and fill in for absent team members.
  • Start morning stretches and a 5‑minute meeting in the absence of Supervisor and Team Lead.
  • Walk through the line and respond to any problems with the startup, notify management if necessary.
  • Contact material handlers or stockroom for any needed material, supplies, or parts.
  • Check production flow and make any adjustments if needed.
  • Perform morning break quality audits and samples for QA to perform break test.
  • Check samples and monitor the production of all sample units.
  • Ensure repairs are ordered and daily production/parts are complete and that ship trucks are clear.
  • Monitor team member safety and surrounding environment.
  • At end of shift make sure all machinery and lights are turned off.
  • Assist with training of new team members.
  • When the supervisor is absent the Team Lead steps into the supervisor role and the Area Lead steps into the Team Lead role.
  • Flexible schedule.
  • Other duties assigned.
General Qualifications, Skills, And Abilities
  • High school diploma or GED certificate.
  • Minimum of 3 years manufacturing experience.
  • Knowledge of computers and relevant software applications.
  • Ability to read and interpret regulations and policies in accordance with Company guidelines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with other departments and customers.
