About the RoleThis is a full-time position with 8-hour shifts during the day. Our team supports a culture of respect, collaboration, and continuous improvement. You'll be empowered to have your voice heard and contribute to patient safety and workflow efficiency through ongoing discussions with unit leaders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patients thoroughly prior to surgery and ensure they are well-prepared.
- Educate patients and their families about the surgical procedures and peri-operative care.
- Manage intravenous therapy, administer preoperative medications, and verify surgical sites.
- Participate in safety protocols including briefings, time-outs, and debriefings.
- Recognize and respond to patient emergencies effectively.
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while applying evidence-based practices.
- Work closely with a dedicated interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Document patient conditions and care thoroughly throughout your shift.
- Provide education on treatment and follow-up measures for patients and caregivers.
- Current RN license.
- Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
- 2+ years of hospital experience required; at least 1 year in an Operating Room setting.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
