What You Will Do- Provide direct resident care while overseeing daily clinical operations on your assigned shift
- Follow and ensure adherence to individualized plans of care for all residents
- Administer medications in accordance with all standards of practice, state regulations, and community policies, including proper documentation, reporting, and follow-up
- Perform resident assessments as required by state regulations and community policies under the direction of the Director of Assisted Living
- Monitor residents for changes in condition and report concerns promptly to leadership
- Document all relevant observations, communications with residents and families, clinical procedures, and daily care by the end of each shift
- Maintain and update individualized care plans for each resident
- Support and guide care staff to ensure quality care and compliance with community standards
- Assist with training, mentoring, and daily direction of care team members
- Promote a positive, team-focused environment and provide excellent resident care
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
This position reports to the Director of Assisted Living and/or Director of Memory Care. The Charge Nurse is expected to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and provide leadership support to care staff. Responsibilities may include assisting with staff supervision, training, performance feedback, and disciplinary actions as needed.
Why You Are Qualified- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
- Current LVN or LPN license in the state of Texas required
- Current CPR certification required
Minimum of 1 year of related clinical experience required; leadership or charge experience preferred - Strong clinical, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 25 pounds unassisted, and assisting residents with mobility using proper equipment
