Work hours:

Full Time, Days working 3–12‑hour shifts (36 hrs weekly)

Department Highlights
  • Provides perioperative nursing care in the Operating Room, including circulating and/or scrubbing for a variety of surgical procedures while maintaining strict sterile technique and patient‑safety standards.
  • Collaborates closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical technologists to ensure efficient case flow, accurate instrumentation, and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Supports a high‑acuity, fast‑paced OR environment, utilizing advanced surgical technology and adhering to best practices in infection prevention and perioperative care.
Qualifications
  • Nursing Diploma (Nursing) – Required or Associate’s Degree in Nursing – Required;
    Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing – Preferred.
  • One (1) year of experience as a Registered Nurse or completion of a Registered Nurse (RN) residency program – Required.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license – Required upon hire.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) – Required prior to providing independent patient care; must be maintained quarterly.

Responsibilities

As an operating room nurse you will focus on responding to the priorities of surgical care, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining comfort and emotional support for patients during health and illness, while providing safe patient care.
